What is farm fishing?

It is said that even the seas couldn’t unlimitedly supply us with her abundance, so people who demands even more of its aquatic yields thought of a more suitable alternative to the problem. It is the birth of farm fishing.

Farm fishing is raising fish in wide tanks or man-made enclosures to harvest and sell it commercially when they reach their harvesting size and weight. It is more stable source of income to families who relies on fishing.

Farm fishing is not really accepted by eco friendly communities for many varying reasons. Mainly because the fishes are kept in tanks and it contradicts their life in the wild. It is considered brutal to the fishes like when you cage a lion in a zoo. Also, their ecological balance is not satisfied due to infestations of many diseases causing them to die early.

Environment friendly methods are continually modified to improve farm fishing around the world. They are trying to provide solution as soon as they can to avoid further damage to the ecosystem.
